Ray Roberts Dam- Another day on the spot

I met Jonathan at the Ray Roberts dam this morning and we both caught fish- not necessarily a lot.

Ok I don't usually like to post contest pictures but that's all I have today. I got a grand total of 3 POINTS today. Woohoo...

Ray Roberts Dam- A new spot

I fished in the Elm Fork below Ray Roberts to try to get that sandbass I needed so bad for the Clouser Contest. I not only got one, but found a great new spot!

The fish were not cooperative today. I got a few largemouths, bluegill, longears, and greenies along with the sandbass trio. I also saw a few cats, gar, drum, bass, sunfish, carp, buffalo, grass carp, carpsuckers, hybrid stripers, and sandbass. This place is like a mini lewisville dam. I will definately be back here soon

Now if I can just get that carp for the contest...

Weekend re-cap and G-vine report

This weekend was pretty good. Not perfect, but still good. It started at Texoma. The smallies weren't really on the bite, but the bluegill were!

I ended up with 1 smallie, 1 spotted bass, a bunch of bluegill, and a few stripers. Then off to Grapevine with Marty in our small craft- his raft and my kayak. We both got a channel cat and I got 5 sandbass and an LMB.

Marty's channel was on a roadrunner and mine was on a craft fur clouser.

Another day on Grapevine (yesterday) included a bunch of sandbass I didn't catch, an out of place LMB, and a huge rain to end the day. I'm going out now to load up the 'yak for another go at Grapevine

This weekend...

Well I'm going to try to get out to the creek in a little while for some longears and maybe a bass or two, Then it's off to Texoma for another dose of the windblown cliffs of eisenhower state park for smallmouth bass- my single favorite fish to catch. Tomorrow will be pure fun.

Then back to here to go target some carp with the euro gear at a pond I saw a 25lber crash yesterday. I saw several and got 4 runs but only caugh a 7lb cat
 This weekend's gonna be epic!

Hey Guys- 1st post stuff

I have decided to move the FishBlog over here for easier blogging (better than signing into my site and taking forever. It also uses less site space to have it over here)

Well, The multispecies field is leveling out. I'm leading by less than 200 points, but whatever, I need to get that lead back up to 800 or 900.

Sage Largemouth- I think I like it so far! After a few bluegill, this 3lb bass, and a 9lb channel cat, I actually LOVE it! This thing casts like a rocket!

Well, I'll get in to more detail later. For now- i'm going fishing
